Toronto, September 26, 2025— BenchSci, a world leader in AI solutions for preclinical research and drug discovery, is pleased to announce its inclusion in the 2025 Report on Business magazine’s ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, for the second year in a row.

Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. BenchSci earned its spot with a three-year growth of 180%.

“Being named one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for the second consecutive year is more than a recognition of our momentum—it reflects the extraordinary talent and dedication of our team, who are tackling one of the most pressing challenges in drug discovery,” said Liran Belenzon, CEO & Co-founder of BenchSci. “AI enables us to reimagine the path from discovery to treatment. Together with our partners, we’re leading a transformation that will bring life-changing therapies to patients faster than ever before.”

BenchSci’s inclusion on the list reflects its role as a global leader in transforming drug discovery with AI. The company’s ASCEND platform is the first neurosymbolic AI designed specifically for preclinical research. At its core is the Biological Evidence Knowledge Graph (BEKG), rigorously curated by experts to ensure every connection is grounded in experimental evidence. By integrating publications, multi-omics, and clinical trial data into a unified view of disease and combining this with advanced foundation models, ASCEND creates unbiased maps of disease biology that unravel its complexities at scale, serving as an AI copilot for preclinical scientists. The result is a significant increase in productivity across the preclinical R&D pipeline, helping bring new medicines to patients faster.

Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking that was launched in 2019 to celebrate the achievements of innovative businesses in Canada. To qualify for this voluntary program; companies had to complete an in-depth application process and fulfill revenue requirements. In total, 400 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking.

The full list of 2025 winners along with editorial coverage is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine. The list is also published online here.

“Our annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies reflects the sector-spanning ingenuity of this country’s entrepreneurs and corporate leaders,” says Dawn Calleja, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “And we think it’s important to tell their stories, to help inspire the next generation of up-and-comers across the country.”
